GothamHoops.com was launched in April, 2009 by Ray Anczelowicz. The mission was to feature underrated boy's high school basketball recruits. Site content focused on New York City student-athletes and programs. We attended regularly scheduled prep, post grad and travel basketball events to evaluate up-and-coming prospects.
Our reports featured insight on under-the-radar standouts. We shared custom player evaluations and highlight reels with men's college basketball coaches. Through our network, we connected boy's HS student-athletes with two-and-four basketball programs.
In 2014 we launched our first-ever event. The Inaugural Gotham Hoops Invitational showcased top seniors from men's college basketball programs nationally. In four years, Invitational alumni have went onto sign contracts in more than 50 professional leagues.
Other events include the Maurice Harkless Skills Academy (est. 2017) and Gotham Hoops Classic (est. 2018). We strive to build platforms that help athletes succeed through basketball recruiting and training.
In early 2017, Anczelowicz received his FIBA Players' Agent License. He manages college graduates seeking pro basketball opportunities.
