ABOUT US

Gotham Hoops, LLC is a start-up sports management company based in New York City. We organize events in an effort to showcase basketball players to schools and teams. Our mission is to connect student-athletes with amateur and professional basketball scouts.

Founder Ray Anczelowicz launched Gotham Hoops in 2009 as a scouting service for men’s college basketball coaches. Ray attended regularly scheduled high school games and evaluated prospects. He then published his findings on GothamHoops.com and shared reports with recruiters directly. His efforts led to scholarship offers for boy’s high school basketball players throughout N.Y.

In 2014, Gotham Hoops initiated its first-ever event. The Inaugural Gotham Hoops Invitational selected top men’s college seniors to play before pro basketball scouts. In five years, more than 100 event alumni have gone onto sign contracts with NBA, G League and overseas teams.

Gotham Hoops returned to its roots in 2018 with its second event. The Inaugural Gotham Hoops Classic hosted 17 boy’s high school and post-grad basketball programs for a two-day showcase on Long Island. The teams represented both the United States and Canada.
