The Basketball Tournament (TheTournament.com) is making summer hoops relevant again. The event otherwise known as TBT has taken the nation by storm since 2014. TBT is offering 64 teams the opportunity to compete for a winner-take-all prize of $2 million.

Gotham Hoops Invitational alumni are teaming-up this year for the shot at TBT. Together Jamal Olasewere (LIU Brooklyn), Jeremy Williams (New Haven) and Eric Anderson (New Haven) hope to enter Silver Spring's Willows Runners into the event. With a roster composed of current professionals overseas, the team is set on earning a spot in TBT.

The field of 64 includes four (4) play-in winners, six (6) at-large bidders and nine (9) top voted teams. Each region (Northeast, South, Midwest and West) will represent 16 teams. The team of former Invitational standouts are hoping they're voted-in by their fans by June 1st.

The Play-In Jamboree tips-off TBT on June 17-18 in Philadelphia. The Regional Rounds are held July 8-9 and July 15-16 in Philadelphia, Charlotte, Las Vegas and Peoria. New York City is set to host the Super 16 on June 20-23. The Semifinals and Championship will be in Baltimore on August 1-3. The latter rounds are televised on ESPN.
