The 2019 Gotham Hoops Invitational showcased top men’s college basketball seniors in front of pro scouts and fans on April 27 at St. Francis College in Brooklyn.
The one-day tournament featured 36 players from NCAA Division I, II and III programs. Merrimack College’s Ryan Boulter was named 2019 Tournament MVP.

Semifinal No. 1
Wooter (104) def. Q4 Sports (95)
Wooter outlasted a late second-half run by Q4 Sports to secure their spot in the 2019 Invitational Championship. Six players finished in double-figures in scoring for Wooter, led by 20 points from Aaren Edmead of North Carolina A&T. Ryan Boulter (Merrimack) and Jonathan Patron (Plattsburgh) shot a combined 7-11 3PT in the win. Albany’s Devonte Campbell (24 points) and Saint Peter’s Devauhnte Turner (22 points) scored 46% of Q4’s total points.

Court Grip (96) def. BodyArmor (94)
Court Grip turned a double-digit deficit into a positive with an emphatic come-from-behind victory. Seven players scored in double-figures for Court Grip, led by Tawayne Anderson (Mercy) and Abdulai Bundu (Quinnipiac) with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Samuel Idowu of Saint Peter’s registered 28 points, 17 rebounds and four assists in the dominant performance for BodyArmor. Dashown Nelson (Cobleskill) contributed 15 points (3-5 3PT), four rebounds and three assists in the loss.

BodyArmor (106) def. Q4 Sports (91)
BodyArmor jumped out to an early lead and never looked back en route to their first win of the tournament. Fairleigh Dickinson’s Mike Holloway Jr. scored a game-high 22 points for the victors. Kavione Green (Bloomfield) posted 19 points and Idowu added 14 points in the win. For Q4 Sports, Kevin Little (UT Martin) and Raul Frias (LIU Brooklyn) led the way with 18 and 17 points, respectively. Campbell scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds in defeat.
Wooter (109) def. Court Grip (84)
Down by one point at half-time, Wooter dominated the second-half to claim the 2019 Invitational Championship. Boulter’s shooting prowess was once again on full-display, scoring a game-high 23 points (5-7 3PT) and earning Tournament MVP honors. Jacquil Taylor of Hofstra and Rhode Island’s Ryan Preston combined for 30 points and 19 rebounds in the win. Court Grip was led by Darnell Edge’s (Fairleigh Dickinson) 16 points. Keon Williams of St. Francis (NY) posted 15 points (5-10 3PT).
