Nasir Muhammed, a 6’1” guard out of Xaverian High School, has committed to Northern Illinois. The elusive playmaker was one of the most electrifying scorers in the CHSAA this season.

Muhammed recently cut his recruitment to four schools including local programs Manhattan and NJIT as well as American East powerhouse Vermont before selecting the MAC program.

The Brooklyn, NY native joins NIU Head Coach Rashon Burno (Jersey City, NJ) and Associate Head Coach Shane Southwell (Harlem, NY) in DeKalb, IL for the 2023-24 season.
